Description

Once again, The Darrow Chem Syndicate returns to pay tribute to the pioneering era of electronic music. After exploring releases rooted in 1960s experimental sound and classic sci-fi original soundtracks, the project now teams up with none other than Silver Apples . Formed in 1967, Silver Apples quickly established themselves as one of New York’s most influential underground psychedelic electronic duos. Their work laid essential groundwork for what would later become known as Krautrock, introducing self-built synthesizer systems and psychedelic textures that permanently reshaped electronic music language. This second remix release continues the homage by reinterpreting three classic Silver Apples tracks through the lens of modern electronic music. Basement Freaks twists “I Don’t Care What People Say” into a deep, slow-sweeping monster, while “I Have Known Love” receives a brass-heavy, funk-breaks-driven treatment from Fort Knox Five . To complete the release, “You And I” is reworked by Arsa Ketoma , delivering a tough yet groovy breakbeat interpretation packed with the distinctive energy of the young Portuguese producer.
