Once again, The Darrow Chem Syndicate returns to pay tribute to the pioneering era of electronic music. After a series of releases rooted primarily in 1960s experimental sound and classic sci-fi original soundtracks, the project now teams up with none other than Silver Apples . Formed in 1967, Silver Apples quickly established themselves as one of New York’s most important underground psychedelic electronic duos. Their work laid the foundation for what would later become known as Krautrock, introducing self-built synthesizer systems and psychedelic elements that became integral to their sound. The Japanese label’s homage unfolds across two volumes of remix EPs, each featuring three remixes—bringing together six original tracks and six different remixers in total. Volume One showcases remixers such as Ursula 1000 , representing the nu-disco-leaning side of the spectrum with his remix of “Lovefingers” . Also featured is emerging French talent Mask Yo! , who reworks “Gypsy Love” into a percussive breakbeat weapon. Completing the lineup, funk veteran Qdup delivers a bright and playful electro-funk reinterpretation of “Mustang Sally” .
